The customer manufactures sugar-coated and sweet products and, when transferring to a new site, installed 19 drum mixers,dedicated product processing machines. Drum mixers consist of a rotating circular boiler into which the nucleus to be sugar coated is placed. They are then sprayed with the sugary liquid and dried by blowing hot air on them.
The customer consulted us to equip the new production site with a collection, conveying and filtration plant for the specific productions site’s needs.
Moreover, the sugar used in the production processes forms large amounts of quite fine dust inside the working environment.
The proposed solution:
Tecnosida® performed a preliminary inspection and then proposed:
- To design a dedicated drum mixer hood, designed and dimensioned specifically for each machine;
- To dimension the conveyor line and related use of an exhaust fan;
- To install a dedicated Dustdown® filter to treat the dust before being expelled into the atmosphere.
Tecnosida® plant is realized in compliance with the BAT (D.MF.01). It reduces the emissions within the limits established by law, solving the problem of our customer.
